    Position title: Etching Operator

    Department: Production Manager: Etching Lead

    Education: · High school diploma or equivalent experience required

    Previous Work Experience:

    · Previous quality control experience is preferred

    · Previous manufacturing experience is preferred

    · Previous experience in machine troubleshooting is preferred

    · Specific personnel training is required for employees working with hazardous materials and hazardous waste.

    Physical Requirements:

    · Must be able to frequently move about inside the manufacturing environment and access machinery.

    · Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds

    · Ability to safely handle and store hazardous chemicals.

    · Must be able to work in a room with temperature variation.

    Essential Functions:

    1. Chemically etch and monitor lots to ensure they meet product and customer requirements.

    4. Collect data for customers if required.

    5. Identify very small defects in product and solve issue.

    6. Follow MicroLumen’s procedures required for this job.

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Must be flexible in working overtime as needed.
    • Judgment is required to know when etching machine and other equipment are malfunctioning.
    • Judgment is required to modify etching parameters if etching run is in danger of being out of specification.
    • Great care is required to use proper PPE and avoid chemical exposures.
    • Strong analytical skills to analyze and resolve problems effectively.

The Administrative Assistant works with the Executive Director of the Bay Area Manufacturers Association (BAMA) to assist with clerical and administrative tasks. The position is hybrid. 

    Location/Travel

    This position is based out of the Tampa Bay Region; however, the incumbent will operate remotely with periodic face-to-face meetings with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors. Travel will be frequent, primarily within the region.

    Work Environment

    The employee uses a computer and telephone equipment and may have occasional travel driving

    his/her car. The employee may be required to staff a trade show booth and conduct or participate in plant tours. The employee may be subject to low to moderate noise levels during plant tours, and may be, infrequently, exposed to fumes or airborne particles during these tours.

    • Reviews material requirements to determine the timing and PO quantity needed to assure there are no machine shop inefficiencies related to material availability.
    • Maintains vendor relationships to maximize pricing benefits and limit supply chain interruptions that would affect facility planning.

    • Perform data analysis to uncover trends and variations and thereby facilitate proactive inventory control tools.
    • Assist in managing assigned parts to ensure maximum inventory turns and minimum inventory levels.
    • Communicate requirements to internal and external customers.
    • Manage purchase order follow-up/confirmation/expediting process: pre-delivery follow- up, calling suppliers, obtaining/confirming delivery status, and updating the ERP system.
    • Develop work instructions to implement best practices, lessons learned, and repeatability.
    • Interface extensively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and hand-off between all contributors to the Supply Chain function.

    Requirements

    • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Internet search engines and browsers. Working knowledge of PowerPoint.

    Overview
